To make sure I'm not spewing out a bunch of hot air about this, I did some research: The performance increase for Pro Tools and Logic alone is quite nice. I only want to assure that Snow Leopard has been doing very well in running software compatible with previous Mac OS X releases, and is ready for composers and musicians such as yourself and others. I also thoroughly agree with the basic sentiment of your discussion, so far as brand new operating systems should be worn out a bit before rushing over to upgrade. Just haven't had the courage to seriously try composing something truly worthy of inclusion in a fantastic game like BfW. I am a padawan* IT professional (with broad experience in the Big Three of Operating Systems) and a musician. Tyler, I just want to let you know that I am not a Mac fanboy looking for a flame war or anything like that.
